About The New Quantum Interweave^©

Maureen Kitchur, MSW, RSW, of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is a psychotherapist who treats complex, high-needs clients who have not responded to previous therapy. She developed her innovative Strategic Developmental Model for EMDR© treatment model in the mid 1990’s while working with poor indigenous abuse victims in Canada. Since these clients lacked sufficient funding and had high treatment needs, Maureen developed her SDM as a way to more efficiently offer comprehensive healing than was previously possible in a short time frame. She fine-tuned the model in practice with other high-needs and high-risk clients, including forensic and complex trauma victims.

By 1999, the “Kitchur model” began to draw wide-spread attention in North America, as it opened the way to developmental thinking in the EMDR world. Clients’ needs could now be addressed to facilitate developmental “catch-up” at the same time that powerful trauma healing was occurring.

Now Maureen turns her focus to exciting developments in quantum science that have powerful implications for living, healing and problem-solving.

The Quantum Interweave was developed in 2008 to accomplish several purposes:

• To assist clients whose healing had stalled because they lacked either a meta-perspective on their lives, and/or a sense of meaning or context for their own lives
• To provide a way for EMDR and psychotherapy to engage therapeutically with clients who are influenced by popular Law of Attraction principles
• To incorporate practical quantum science as a user-friendly adjunct for treating anxiety and depression, and for teaching enhanced problem-solving

In the Full-day workshop, Maureen teaches clinicians:

• Eleven principles from Quantum Science that create context and empowerment for any individual life
• Hidden or stubborn brain and body problems that impede effective use of the Law of Attraction
• Cutting-edge science to detect and treat hidden or stubborn brain and body problems
• A clear, specific six-step Quantum Process using thoughts and behaviors to support therapeutic change
• Client selection criteria for using the Quantum Interweave

You will also learn:

• How Quantum Science supports the power of Intention, and thus directs cognitive processes towards change
• Two techniques that will shift you into an alpha brain wave state – one is a meditation, the other is a super-fast shortcut into alpha. Both are complementary to mindfulness processes. Both techniques have application for the treatment of anxiety.

In the Consultation Day, Maureen will expand on how to interweave the Quantum material from the Full-Day workshop into the psychotherapy process. She will do full case consultations on a number of your cases, covering:

• The application of the Quantum materials within the Strategic Developmental Model© for EMDR.
• The application of the New Quantum Interweave© with both EMDR and non-EMDR clients

The presenter, Maureen Kitchur, MSW, RSW, is a psychotherapist who has consulted and taught all over North America for many years. She specializes in treating complex trauma, mood disorders and sexual behavior problems, and has a strong background in natural medicine and hormone replacement. Maureen has educated lay people and mental health professionals in settings that have included the United Nations, and this year will teach in Canada, Australia and the United States.

CEUs: The Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association has approved 6 credit hours for each day, for a total of 12 hours. Forms are available at the workshop for members and non-members to apply for these CEUs.
